We left Vegas around 10 and made it to Zion. We almost talked ourselves out of it for fear of icy roads but luckily Michelle’s dad David gave us some good advice. We were able to get in a short hike and a visit with the deer. The canyon was magnificent.
I was surprised with Utah. Nevada has been so scarce and desert like that it was a nice change when we hit Utah and saw animals on the side of the road and more green than before.
The drive was the best part of the day. A tunnel one mile through a mountain and amazing colors and rock formations.
