The Hoover Dam.   We didn’t take the tour but Patrick had watched a few videos so we certainly were schooled on the depths and how it works.  What a force water can be but this dam holds back so much water and does it for several reasons.  One, they are able to capture the electricity and two they created man made lake mead and three they are able to divert the water as far as meat as Los Angeles and Tucson.  Watched a group of men from Brazil we think. They were dressed to perfection and having a good time. One man took his shirt off to have shirtless pictures on the dam. 

We got I to Las Vegas.  It was early afternoon.   After chasing down Johns insulin at multiple Walgreens we pulled into the Cosmopolitan.   Kate’s initial response was “mom, our family doesn’t belong here” we all felt a bit underdressed but it went away when we got to our room.  On the 55th floor. Overlooking the Airport with a balcony (this is Patrick’s dream location to watch planes from the hotel)

The hotel was beautiful.   Kids went in the heated pool. Have plans to play tennis.  Then a great shower. The rooms were great and plenty of room for everyone.  My only complaint is I think I am getting old.  The scantily clad “show girls” everywhere were a bit much and the room is covered with 

Sexy pictures of women which I feel could have been classier.  But overall the kids were thrilled with the room.  A real treat for everyone.  Plan to get up at a reasonable hour tomorrow for a trip to Utah
